In Nepal — a blood sample at your nearest District Police Office, or the Police Hospital lab at Maharajgunj. From a parent or child if possible, a sibling otherwise. Take two passport photographs.
From abroad — have DNA profiling done where you live and email it, with the Ante Mortem form and a photograph, to dnacodis@nepalpolice.gov.np. No travel needed.

Where this comes from, and what it is not
This is not a Government of Nepal registry. It brings together what several official lists say, so a family can search one place instead of four. If someone is missing, found, rescued or their status has changed, report it to the District Administration Office or Nepal Police first — not here.
While building it, our checks found faults in the published lists:
- the same person listed twice, or under two spellings
- names transliterated differently between lists
- one family member recorded when several are missing
- police tag numbers issued to more than one body
Nothing is deleted here on that account. Records that might be the same person are kept apart and flagged, because merging two people is worse than showing two records.

A photograph, a social media page or a location on this site is supporting information. None of it confirms who someone is or whether they are alive. Only the authorities can do that.

यो दर्ता भर्ने आधिकारिक स्रोत यी हुन्: नेपाल प्रहरी (प्रहरी प्रधान कार्यालय र सम्बन्धित जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय), सम्बन्धित जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालय, शव राखिएका अस्पताल, र नेपाल रेडक्रसको पारिवारिक सम्पर्क पुनःस्थापना (RFL) सेवा। विदेशी नागरिकको हकमा सम्बन्धित दूतावासले पनि आफ्नै नागरिकको नामावली सार्वजनिक गर्छ। प्रहरीले बेपत्ताको नामावली (विदेशी नागरिकसमेत) सार्वजनिक गरिसकेको छ; तर मृतकको पूर्ण पहिचान सूची अझै आएको छैन, किनभने धेरै शव अनुहारबाट चिन्न नसकिने अवस्थामा छन् र DNA परीक्षण जारी छ।

Where a death is confirmed, a social media page can be linked so people may leave tributes — at the family's request. Facebook can memorialise an account, which secures it so nobody can log in; families are encouraged to do that first. A profile found by searching the name is never linked. Getting it wrong declares a living person dead, publicly, and their relatives read the condolences. This list alone holds up to 16 people sharing one surname.
